Rolleston Pre-School is a well-established setting with experienced, highly qualified staff who are looking to recruit a new member to their team. Experienced, newly qualified, or those who are willing to train for a level 3 are welcome to apply. This is an exciting, caring place to work, that is focused on developing both the children in our care along with the practitioners that teach them. We invest heavily in professional development ensuring we are the best practitioners we can be.
As a small charity we have a committee that helps us to operate as well as works tirelessly to fundraise, we get involved in community events and work closely with the Primary school where we are based to provide a smooth transition for our children into school.
About the role...
• Early years qualification preferable not essential
• Ideally experienced within an early years or school setting
• An excitement for early years and want to provide the best possible care, and experiences for the children you are working with.
• Ability to liaise confidently with parents, team members and management committee.
• You will be passionate about what you do and want to work in a setting that is forward thinking and open to new ideas.
• As a Forest school setting you will have the opportunity to learn more about this pedagogy and support the children as they learn in this environment. We have a qualified Forest school leader and have been developing our outdoor learning over the last 10 years, taking the children for block weeks each term, this is an integral part of our Pre-School ethos.
• You will become a key person in time supporting a group of children throughout the week, making observations on our online system. Leading activities both inside and outside.
• You will take safeguarding seriously and be passionate about supporting children and their families. Have an understanding of fostering a strong robust safeguarding culture.
• As part of your responsibilities, you will need to attend training for safeguarding, paediatric first aid, food hygiene.
Working hours:
19.5 hours a week – 3 days a week
8.45am – 3.45pm each day term time only
Initially a fixed term contract until July 2025, with a view to becoming Permanent contract from September 2025.
Hourly rate dependant on experience
Education & skills:
GCSE English and Maths grade C or above or equivalent essential
Up to date ICT skills
Level 3 qualification in Early years ideally
Closing date: Thursday 12th December 2024
Interview date: Monday 16th December 2024
