About us...

Rolleston Pre-School, a charitable organisation, is located next to the Sherbourne site of John of Rolleston Primary School. The new, purpose built Pre-School offers a bright and colourful setting which is welcoming to both children and parents. With the enclosed garden and a play area, it offers a safe and secure environment for your child. We aim to create a happy and stimulating atmosphere, offering a range of activities. These are carefully planned and presented in order to encourage our children to develop an enquiring mind and to learn through play. In our most recent OFSTED inspection we received an excellent report which is available in Pre-School, or via the link in the feedback page.
Our staff are friendly, approachable and offer a high standard of care. They aim to be aware of all our children’s needs – dealing with them individually and appropriately. All staff are committed to our adopted policies. We have up to four members of staff per session, complying with statutory required ratios.
We also aim to familiarise the children with the School and its staff, visiting the library, activities in the hall and outdoor play in the 'big’ playground.
The Pre-school aims to:
Provide a stimulating, happy and secure environment; creating an atmosphere in which both children and parents feel welcome and at
ease.
Offer opportunities and experiences that enable children to learn to acquire knowledge for themselves and to develop an enquiring mind.
Enable children to make the transition into school with confidence and enthusiasm.
