Admissions
We take children from the age of 2.5 We look to start the children together at key points at the start of each school half term to support settling and transition. However, we take individual circumstances into consideration.
These 'Early Starters' are able to take up half day sessions, either mornings or afternoons. Morning sessions run from 8.45 am - 11.45 am with afternoon sessions running from 12.30pm -3.30pm.
We offer full day care for children in their Pre-School Year. The sessions will run from 8.45 am to 3.30 pm with lunch from 11.45 am - 12.30 pm.
From September 2024 we will be offering extended hours on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3.30 pm - 5.30 pm, this is available to all children attending Pre-School as well as Reception children at John of Rolleston Infants School.
We will then get the process started and arrange a start date. You will be given an opportunity to come and visit us in action and for your little one to have a stay and play to see all the fun of Pre-School!
There is also the chance to attend our open day at the end of the summer term to introduce your child to Pre-School ahead of them starting - with opportunities to meet new and existing families and welcome you into our community.
Fees
From September 2024 each morning and afternoon session will cost £21.00 per session, lunch session is £5 (this is a separate charge and cannot be paid for from funded hours) children to bring their own packed lunch. Lunch session is only available for children who are staying all day, payable half termly in advance or by weekly payments. There is no reduction for absence such as sickness or holiday. Financial assistance may be available in special circumstances, please speak to the Pre-School Manager, Lolene Poxon.
Extended hours fees are as below:-
£14 for the 2 hours
OR
Use 2 funded hours plus £5 charge (this is to cover materials and administration costs)
Charges are applicable even if your child is collected earlier than 5.30 pm
We ask for a voluntary contribution of 50p per session for snack. This contribution will be included in the termly fee & lunch invoice.
Early Education Funding
From April 2024, eligible working parents can claim 15 free hours for 2 year olds. All Children are eligible for free sessions in the term following their 3rd birthday, funded by the Early Education Funding (EEF) (15 hours per week). If you are eligible for the Extended Hours entitlement (15 hours per week), we can offer up to 30 hours free childcare.
Parents can access their funded entitlement at a maximum of 2 sites in any one day.

Non Payment of Fees
If fees remain outstanding after four weeks, we reserve the right to withdraw your child from Pre-School. However we are pleased to discuss any problems regarding the payment of fees. Please talk to the Pre-School Manager, Lolene Poxon, at the earliest opportunity.

Change of address or telephone number must be notified. Children must be collected from Pre-School by a responsible adult. If a child is to be collected by someone other than their usual carer, Pre-School staff must be notified in advance.
