Lolene Poxon - Pre-School Manager
Designated Safeguarding Lead
BA Degree
NVQ 6 & Early Years Professional Status
I began managing the setting in 2007 having previously worked as an illustrator. I retrained in Early years after travelling and working with children and realising where my true vocation lay. The years have flown by and as I have studied more, my passion for Early Year has only grown. This is such a special time in children's lives, the beginning of their journey into learning. It is a privilege to be part of that, to see the excitement as they discover new things is truly magical and to hopefully see that joy for learning continue as they move onto school.
I have my own family now a girl and a boy who attend John of Rolleston School. I felt so lucky as a parent that they were able to attend Rolleston pre-School and have all of these wonderful experiences and spend time with such a caring and nurturing team, they loved every minute!
In my spare time I love to spend time in my garden, painting and being creative, reading and travelling. I try and share these interests as much as possible with the children at Pre-School. It is a joy to be part of this community and to get involved in village events as a setting. I look forward to supporting many more children in the years to come.

Kalley Vardy - Pre-School Deputy Manager
BEd (Hons) Primary Education Degree with Qualified Teacher Status
I have worked in education since completing my Primary Education Degree with QTS in 2006. I have worked in different age groups, specialising in Art and Science. I also worked at John of Rolleston Primary School which I really enjoyed. I then discovered a love for Early Years and have worked in nurseries. Since having my little girl, I have enjoyed all aspects of learning through play, open ended and creative opportunities. I love setting up play activities for her and sharing them with other parents.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and drawing. I love music too, enjoy going to gigs when I can.
I am really excited to be working at Rolleston Pre-School and taking a new challenge on as Deputy Manager. I cannot wait to help your child on their learning journey!

Fiona Peck - SENDCo
BA Ed Honours QTS 5-11
I feel fortunate to now work in this fabulous village setting with a team of highly skilled professionals in early years.
My own journey in education had different beginnings. Qualifying as a teacher in 1997, I gained experience in schools around the West Country and East Anglia before moving to the Burton area and teaching junior aged children for a number of years. Having my own family then stimulated an interest in early years as I immersed myself in the new world of messy play and toddler groups and truly began to appreciate the foundation years underpinning all learning. After my son and daughter's own happy years here, I was lucky enough to begin working here myself. It is now a privilege to work with your children as they start their own journeys in education. I am also involved with Scouting in the village so it is wonderful to often see them again on their adventures in Beavers,Cubs and Scouts. Rolleston Pre-School is a great place to work. I am now the SENDCo here and the opportunities for continuing professional development, demonstrate just how much learning is valued and all people are nurtured in this very special setting.
